
ROGER DÁVILA
Roger Dávila (born June 8th, 1984, Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico), guitar player in Comisario Pantera and La Gusana Ciega.
Roger’s interest in music first started when he was 12 years old in a self-taught manner by learning how to play a small guitar his father gave him. At the age of 18 he started his formal musical training by taking private lessons with Mario Ortega and Rafael Hernández Hidalgo; renowned Musicians and Guitarists from the music scene in Zacatecas.
In the year 2007 he decided to become a professional musician, he enrolled in the Academia de Música Fermatta, Mexico City, to study Composition in Popular Music. While studying in Fermatta, he had the opportunity to take part in an array of Master Classes with World Class Musicians such as Steve Vai, Steve Lukather, Pat Martino, Chad Smith, Mike Stern among others.


By the year 2008 he became a studio and live performing musician for singer-songwriter Madame Recamier. In 2010 he got invited to join the Rock Band Comisario Pantera, with whom he has recorded five studio albums. Jóvenes Ilustres (2012); Éramos Adolescentes (2013); Club Rodante (2014); Tiempos Mejores (2015), and Cosmovisiones (2017).
His professional background includes collaborations with diverse artists from the Mexican Rock and Pop scene, such as Aleks Syntek and Enrique González “Bugs” (Jumbo y Los Lobos), Rebel Cats, La Santa Cecilia, Enjambre, and La Gusana Ciega. Internationally speaking, he and Comisario Pantera have been an opening act for the noted shows of Jack White, Albert Hammond Jr., Los Tres, and Hombres G.
Roger has played some of the most important national and international music festivals such as Festival Vive Latino, Pal’ Norte, among others, and has performed in great venues like Teatro de la Ciudad, Lunario del Auditorio Nacional, Teatro Metropólitan, Plaza Condesa, and many other stages in Mexico, The US, and Colombia.
