
Kazi Faisal Ahmed
Kazi Faisal Ahmed is one of the most prominent musicians and versatile guitar players, music composers from Bangladesh. Faisal was the founder of the hard rock band Metal Maze in 1995. He also played with some of the well established bands of the country such as Aurthohin, Warfaze, ARK, Cryptic Fate, Pentagon, Fuad and Friends, Hridoy Khan, 14th Floor. Kazi Faisal Ahmed joined Artcell in 2018 as the lead guitarist. Artcell is one of the top Bangladeshi Heavy Metal Bands. Faisal’s joining Artcell as their lead guitarist was talk of the town in the music scene. He became popular mostly because of his versatility in playing – be it Metal to Rock, Funk to soul or Pop to Latin, he has gracefully managed to amaze his listeners and head bangers around the country. His versatility let him to play in sessions with most of the prominent artists of Bangladesh in studio and live sessions as well as in various Films scoring & albums as a session player. His melodies/counter melodies, percussive slapping, harmonics, hammering, tapping, legato or even his dynamic chord structures make him stand out from other guitar players of the country.
Faisal also played the song “Baby I love your way“ on stage with Quino of Big Mountain during his
tour to Bangladesh in 2019.


His moment of glory came when Kazi Faisal Ahmed played the guitar with one of the world’s most celebrated solo artists and International music Icon Richard Marx on the song “Hazard” on stage during his tour to Bangladesh in 2017.
