KENNEMER
A 19-year-old guitarist, who has been apart of the Grants Pass music scene for a decade has released his first CD.
Jesse Kennemer’s recording of all original music, “Fire in the Wire,” was released at the guitar prodigy’s CD release concert at the Rogue Theatre.
“I’m really excited to play a full set of my own music,”says Kennemer. “Its a whole new thing for me.”
Kennemer describes his original music as mostly instrumental rock” with a Joe Satriani/Steve Vai kind of vibe.”
Some of the songs are more Bluesy, he says, and a few have vocals, including “Stealin’ is Easy” which has a BozScaggs feel.”
The concert showcases Kennemer on lead guitar, Johnny Trujillo on bass and vocals, and Myke Lutz on drums and vocals. “We’ll also have some speialguests,Cee Cee James, and Jen Ambrose “says Mykal Lutz, a local drummer who recognized and nurtured Kennemer’s talent from the beginning.

That debut Cd, recorded at the Rogue Theatre, was produced by Gary Mallaber, who has produced and played drums on 32 Plat. and Gold winning albums, including work with Van Morrison and The Steve Miller Band.
“Its a huge blessing that Gary was available and that Greg (Tressel) let us use the theatre,” Kennemer says.
The CD also features Truillo on bass and vocals and Lutz on drums, along with guest stars : Sean carney on vocals and guitar, Deanna Bogart on piano and saxophone, Jen Ambrose on flute. Mike Finnigan on B3 organ, and Gary Mallaber, who have both performed with Jimi Hendrix.
