
ANGELO SABIA
Angelo started is musical journey on the island of Malta, under the experienced guide of Sean Vuokovic from Forsaken.
After moving to Italy he developed further on his studies through Jam Academy and hence beginning to create his own music under the mocker Soundive.
Later on he formed the band Gonzaga being author, bassist and lead singer of the group.
In 2009 the act was awarded for his single “Astronauta” at the Tuscany International Festival and in 2010, being voted as “Best Group” at the International Music Think Tank Festival in Milan.
In 2011 Gonzaga were chosen to perform at the 25th birthday of Arezzo Wave Festival together with acts such as Negramaro and Thank You for The Drum Machine.
In the very same year they were awarded at the Lucca Summer Festival and later on appointed by drum icon Steve Hewitt from Placebo as “Best Newcomer Band” at Friends of Music Festival.


After being selected as supporting band for internationally acclaimed artist and saxophone legend Enzo Avitabile, in 2013 Gonzaga debuted with the EP “La Manovra di Valsalva” thus anticipating their first full-length album “Tutto è Guerra” produced with Japanese engineer Taketo Gohara and nominated by Distopic Music Magazine among the best releases in 2015.
Through the years Angelo has developed a totally unique sound applied to electric bass, creating his very own personal style of play, starting therefore to tour on specific bass-related clinics as well as touring with Gonzaga.
Parallely to his band and solo career he is collaborating with London based record label Release/Sustain together with sessioning for various acts in studio environment.
